SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and status sassa there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level established for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
